A Rutland-based company is moving to new premises in Corby as part of its expansion plans.

POS manufacturing and creative design specialists MJD has signed the lease for a new printing facility in Alpha Court, Corby.

The company plans to create new jobs for the town as part of the £500,000 expansion.

Paul Barker-Smith, owner and managing director of MJD, said: “This is a really positive move for us. The new facility will complement our existing POS production capabilities such as vacuum forming and provide the business with the perfect environment for sustained growth. We have ambitious plans over the next few years, and this move is a statement of our commitment to being a leading player in the POS sector. The new premises will allow us to do that.”

The company is investing in new equipment which can provide high quality print solutions on plastics, cardboard and Foamex as well as fabric, glass, plywood and a range of other rigid materials.
