Northamptonshire Chamber has been shortlisted in two categories of the coveted national Chamber Awards 2014.

The business support organisation passed the second stage in both the Excellence in International Trade Services and the Excellence in Membership Services Awards - two of four possible categories open to local chambers in the British Chamber of Commerce Chamber Awards.

The Chamber Awards are one of the UK’s most hotly contested business awards and recognise and reward business success across the UK and the work of local chambers. All entries undergo a rigorous judging process.

Paul Griffiths, chief executive of Northamptonshire Chamber, said: “It is fantastic news to be shortlisted in two categories in the Chamber Awards and a huge achievement for this chamber as it recognises the exceptional work by our team.

“Our entire staff strive to ensure our members make the most of their membership and add value to their business through our products and services.

“Our International Trade team have a wealth of experience and expertise to ensure businesses receive the support they need to trade overseas.”

He added: “We aim to be a dynamic and vibrant organisation that meets the needs of the business community. This is an exciting time for us and we look forward to the awards evening in two months’ time.”

Northamptonshire Chamber’s work also incorporates supporting businesses in the Milton Keynes area.

The winners of all categories will be announced at the Chamber Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday, November 27, at the Pavilion at the Tower of London.
