A careers fair is to be held in Wellingborough next week.

More than 250 people attended the previous Rose Careers Fair at Wellingborough Jobcentre in February, meeting employers such as Weatherby’s, BCC Marketing and Greencore.

The latest fair, from 10am to 1pm on Wednesday, May 20, again at the Jobcentre, will see employers such as MCE Insurance, Nourish, Bluebird Care, Delos and UPS, as well as recruitment agencies, chat to jobseekers, offer advice and assist them with job applications.

Alison Kelly from The Mallows Company, which co-ordinates the ROSE – Real Options for Skills and Employment – Careers Fairs, said: “Local employers were overwhelmed with the enthusiasm and interest they had from Jobcentre clients last time.

“The careers fair really made a difference to the lives of some jobseekers, with many gaining interviews and jobs.

“In an age of digital recruitment this was a great opportunity for people to talk to employers face to face.

“We are delighted to be working so closely with Wellingborough Jobcentre again to further improve local employment.”

National Careers Service advisers from The Mallows Company will also be on hand to offer free career guidance and ensure visitors maximise this job seeking opportunity.

Although all the stands are filled there are still opportunities for employers and recruitment agencies to display their vacancies.
