Kettering Town Football Club has been locked out of its former ground by baliffs acting on behalf of the site owners.

This morning, youth coaching staff, supporters’ trust members and an employee of the club’s social club turned up at Rockingham Road to find notices of foreiture pinned up around the ground.

The notice states baliffs Howes Percival LLP, on behalf of owner Ben Pickering Ltd, have entered the premises and no person should now enter without consent from the firm.

Although the club’s playing team no longer plays at the ground, the social club still operates and club stock, such as balls and kit, are stored there.

For more on the breaking story, see tomorrow’s ET.
