Northamptonshire architectural practice GSS Architecture has seen all three of its offices win Investors In People recognition.

The company originally gained IIP recognition in 1997, when it was one of the first architectural practices in the whole of the UK to win this honour.

Since then, it has been regularly assessed every three years to ensure compliance with the standard. Now, following the latest inspections by independent assessors, all three offices in Kettering, Harrogate and Bristol have been awarded the coveted trophy.

The detailed assessment included individual interviews with staff as well as partners.

GSS partner Will Assheton explained: “The Investors in People standard helps by linking people development and skills acquisition to the specific aims and objectives of their businesses, and to assess and improve the performance of their employees.

“It provides a framework to help businesses manage change and enhance profitability.

“The old saying that our people are our greatest asset is still very true.

“We believe very firmly in growing our own talent and in encouraging young people to develop their careers with us.”

Founded in 1879, GSS
Architecture is one of the leading national architectural, quantity surveyors and top consultant practices. It has six partners and a total strength of around 50 staff and a number of “blue chip” companies and organisations among its clients.
