Burst water main affected around 1,000 homes in Kettering

A burst water main left around 1,000 homes in Kettering without water this morning but residents should now being receiving full service, according to an Anglian Water spokesman. (Friday July 19).

Properties around the Deeble Road and St Mary’s Road areas of the town were left with no water, or low water pressure this morning (Friday July 19).

A spokesman for Anglian Water said engineers were called out to the burst water main at around 2.50am this morning. They re-routed the water away from the burst pipe and full water pressure should have been restored at the affected homes at around 8.15am.

The spokesman added: “Apologies to the people inconvenienced this morning.

“The problem should now be fixed for those that experienced no water, or low water pressure, in their properties this morning.”

He added that if people were still experience problems they should contact Anglian Water.

The work to repair the burst water main is continuing but residents should not be affected by the work, according to the spokesman.
