Customers and staff at the Asda store in Corby enjoyed a feast of traditional entertainment to mark Burns Night.

The poems of Scotland’s favourite son, Robert Burns, were recited during a marathon eight-hour session in the store by local poet Eian Crockatt, including the famous Address to a Haggis.

Piper Paul Dickinson and the Grampian Highland Dance Troupe were also on hand to help celebrate Burns Night in style on Friday (January 25).

Store manager Gary Brown said: “Corby has a special relationship with Burns Night and we wanted to get behind this occasion, which is celebrated by many of our customers.

“We hope everyone enjoyed the entertainment and it was wonderful to see customers joining in with the dancers. Paul and Eian were fantastic and the entertainment really made for a wonderful day in the store.”
