Wicksteed Park will be transformed into a scene from the hit movie Frozen as children of all ages take part in a giant singalong this half-term.
The musical bonanza will be held during the Kettering park’s free latest Playday event, one of several held throughout the year to encourage children to play and have fun.
The Frozen-themed day takes place on Wednesday, February 18, between 10am and 3pm, with activities such as snowman building, making tiaras and shields, igloo building and making mini Olafs as well as the chance to meet Snow Queen Elsa and Princess Anna.
Other activities will include a balloon tent, cardboard city, space hoppers, arts and crafts and a dress up corner.
Children are invited to dress up as their favourite character from Frozen or any other children’s movie, ready for the giant singalong, which will start at 11.30am.
Wicksteed Park managing director Alasdair McNee said: “Our Playday events are extremely popular and we are delighted to offer children and families the chance to take part in some free fun activities.
“The aim of the event is to encourage children to get out of the house and show them that there is a world of fun and adventure out there.
“The park has 147 acres to explore and we have just made widespread improvements to the lakeside area as part of a Heritage Lottery Fund-supported renovation project.
“People coming to the Playday might also decide to walk around in the fresh air while they are here or come back another day to see the improvements for themselves.”
