I think the Skew Bridge development is a brilliant idea, and can do nothing but good for the area.

Apart from the shops, there will be all the recreational facilities proposed.

Surely we deserve them, thus cutting our carbon footprint by having to go much further afield.

The Wellingborough and Kettering councillors who are opposed to the scheme are short- sighted and totally out of touch with local opinion.

Take Kettering and the Desborough Tesco fiasco as an example, but that is another debate.

People will come from surrounding towns and would visit Rushden, Wellingborough etc. also other retailers may decide to come to the towns.
