Visitors to a Wellingborough bowling centre are being encouraged to take in left-over Easter eggs this month to exchange for free games.

AMF Bowling in Whitworth Way is inviting customers to donate an Easter egg in return for a free game voucher for their next visit.

All of the collected eggs will be donated to the children’s wards at Northampton General Hospital

Darren Baker, manager at the centre, said: “What better way to put a spring in people’s step than to get a bit of good-will going? Until April 20, any customer who donates an Easter egg when they purchase a game will be given a free game voucher to redeem in May as a thank you.

“We’ll then take all the eggs to the hospital and pass them on with the best wishes of the centre and its customers.”

Mr Baker added: “To keep children entertained during the holiday, we’ll be inviting them to take part in our Xtreme Bowling experience with glow-in-the-dark pins, have their faces painted and win prizes in our colouring competitions.”

“As part of the range of packages on offer, the centre will be offering exclusive pre-booked deals, including giving children under 16 the chance to play a game, and have a meal and drink for £5.95, 50 per cent off standard bowling for the over 60s from 5pm on Sunday to 5pm on Friday, and two games and a drink from the bar for adults for £10 each from 5pm on Sunday until 5pm on Friday.”
