Boughton House last year welcomed the stars of Hollywood hit Les Miserables and X Factor stars Gary Barlow and Cheryl Cole to its grounds – now it’s ready to host an Ibiza-style music festival.
The Zoo Project Festival will be holding its three-day festival at the house near Kettering, staging its dance music extravaganza in the woodlands which surround the historic property.
It is the second year the festival has been running, after a sell-out first year, and organisers are promising a line-up of dance and electronic music acts this summer.
The party antics will take place in Boughton House’s Hidden Fores.
As well as music acts, there will be body painting areas and a number of ‘party animal’ circus-style acts, including juggling jackals, acrobatic felines, pyrotechnic chimps and boxing kangaroos.
Other activities and workshops will be on offer to festival-goers.
These include massage, yoga, drumming workshops and workshops in the Brazilian street dance Capoeira.
The festival will run from Friday, August 30, to Sunday, September 1, and the festival will carry on into the early hours of each morning, with organisers having a new licence, meaning the party can continue until 4am.
Last year’s acts included successful dance artists Julio Bashmore and Sasha.
Organisers have said they will begin to announce the headline acts for the festival soon but tickets are already on sale, with early-bird tickets starting at £49.
