Two borough council vacancies will be filled in by-elections taking place in May.
Kettering councillors Alison Wiley and Paul Corazzo have both stepped aside for personal and family reasons.
Mrs Wiley, a Conservative, was councillor for Welland – which covers the villages adjacent to Desborough – and portfolio holder for finance until her resignation. She has moved to the United States to be with her husband, after staying on at the council until after the budget was passed earlier this year.
Mr Corazzo, who stood for Labour at the 2010 general election in Daventry, had been one of two councillors representing the Avondale Grange ward in east Kettering.
Polling stations will be open between 7am and 10pm on the same day as the county council elections on Thursday, May 2.
