A MAN accused of robbing a bookmaker’s in Desborough at gunpoint yesterday will appear in court this morning.
The 58-year-old from Corby faces charges of robbery and possession of a firearm following the incident at Coral bookmaker’s in Station Road.
He was remanded in custody yesterday and was refused bail.
Det Supt Kevin Wooldridge of Northamptonshire Police said: “We have withheld his bail and are seeking a remand in custody to protect the safety of the public, which is paramount.”
The suspect will appear at Kettering Magistrates Court this morning.
