Blades aerobatic team give new Aston Martin owners the experience of a lifetime

Five new owners of an Aston Martin V8 Vantage S ‘Blades Edition’ celebrated their purchase with a flight over Northamptonshire with the Blades aerobatic team.

The display team, based at Sywell Aerodrome, gave the owners a day they would never forget.

A spokesman said: “The day itself got off to a flying start, with the new owners taking to the sky for a once-in-a-lifetime aerobatic flight in an Extra 300 before finishing off with an exhilarating helicopter ride over the Northamptonshire countryside in a two-seater R22.

“Back on the ground, the owners took to the track and experienced real driving thrills with a F1 racing simulation to warm up before taking their new sports car on to the runway with the Aston Martin professional driving team,” she added.

A leading display team of former Red Arrow pilots, The Blades are renowned for flying cutting-edge aerobatics.

The Blades have more than 30,000 flying hours across a range of aircraft and, combined, have flown more than 4,000 displays making them some of the most experienced display pilots in the country.

The Aston Martin Cambridge ‘Blades Edition’ has been tailored by the luxury British brand’s Q by Aston Martin bespoke personalisation service.

Andy Offer, one of the new owners of the Aston Martin Cambridge V8 Vantage S ‘Blades Edition’, said: “The Blades edition V8 Vantage S is a truly bespoke car, with a subtle hint of orange and a number of unique features, the car looked amazing.

“Driving the car on a private runway was incredible and really allowed me to explore the car’s full potential.

“The Aston Martin Team at Cambridge delivered a fabulous car in the most exceptional way. For me, this was a one-off day and I will never forget it.”
