A Kettering charity is appealing for former volunteers and those they have helped to be a part of their 20th anniversary celebrations.
Home Start Kettering, which supports families in the area, has helped thousands of local children and their families in the last two decades thanks to the help of hundreds of volunteers.
It wants as many of them as possible to get involved in the anniversary party.
Parents are referred to the charity for reasons including isolation and loneliness, post-natal illness, ill health, disability or special needs, lone parenting, children’s behavioural problems, multiple births and bereavement.
The charity says without the right support these problems can lead to more serious issues which can have a negative long-term effect on both the family and the community as a whole.
Home Start aims to intervene early before problems become crises and support the families until they are able to support themselves.
The birthday celebrations take place on Friday, July 4. For more information call 01536 484318.
