Biker airlifted to hospital after A47 crash

A motorcyclist suffered suspected head, back and neck injuries after crashing into a roundabout.

The biker was riding a black R6 Yamaha along the A47 from the direction of Morcott when, for reasons yet unknown, the bike went into the Duddington roundabout.

A police spokesman said: “The rider of the motorcycle, a 30-year-old man, was taken by air ambulance to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham with suspected head, back and neck injuries.”
