More than £400 was raised at a bike and trike show organised in aid of for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Andrew Lawrence, of Wellingborough, organised the event for Pendragon Motorcycle Club.

Members of the Club rocked the night away during performances by local bands Black Rose, Roger the Pig, and Solid Fuel.

One brave member also agreed to have their head shaved to raise extra cash.

Prizes were awarded during the evening for the best classes of motorbikes and trikes and a raffle helped raise money.

Mr Lawrence said: “This event was held to raise money for our nominated charity, this time Macmillan. We chose this charity as a member of our club has recently gone through treatment for breast cancer and we thought it very apt that we offer a hand of hope towards them. We would like to thank all who supported us on raising a total of £408.01.”

Cherida Plumb, fundraising manager for Macmillan said: “It’s fantastic to see people come together to support friends and colleagues in this way. It often helps people come to terms with difficult situations if they can help raise money to support someone with cancer. Andrew and the Pendragon club have done a fantastic job and I’m thrilled that they raised so much to help support Macmillan’s work to support people affected by cancer.”
