Big shave raises cash for tumour charity

A Rushden man has said goodbye to his hair, by shaving it all off in a charity fundraiser in aid of the Brain Tumour Charity.

Lance James, 24, of Oakpits Way, Rushden, shaved his hair and beard off on Saturday and has raised more than £100 for the Jodie Adams Fund supporter group, which supports the Brain Tumour Charity.

He said: “I know three people who have had a brain tumour and that’s three too many, so I wanted to do something to help raise awareness and fund research against this devastating condition.”

The event was held at the Rushden and Higham Rugby club, in Bedford Road, Rushden.
