Bank holiday health advice

NHS Northamptonshire is encouraging people to choose well when using local services on Bank Holiday Monday, May 7.

It is particularly encouraging people to think about using their local pharmacy for information and support.

Mukesh Lad, chairman of Pharmacy Northamptonshire (Northamptonshire Local Pharmaceutical Committee), said: “Bank holidays are always very busy for the local health service so it’s important to remind patients the services that are available, and the things they need to do to prepare.

“For example, patients with long term conditions are advised to get their repeat prescriptions ready well ahead of the bank holiday.

“It is also vital that patients know about their local pharmacies, what the opening times are and what services can be offered.”
