Bands tune up to play at Music in the Park

The next dates for Rushden’s Music in the Park have been announced.

On Sunday, August 10, Dixieland jazz band, the Jazzbeens, will perform from 3pm to 5pm in the walled garden of Rushden’s Hall Park.

The traditional Proms in the Park will be on Saturday, August 30, starting at 7pm.

On Sunday, September 14, folk band Musical Roots will perform in the final Music in the Park of the season.

Spectators can take garden chairs and a picnic to the concerts. Entrance is free for Music in the Park dates, and Proms in the Park costs £5 with the proceeds going to the mayor’s charities.

Gill Mercer, from Rushden Town Council’s events committee, said: “Do come along to Hall Park for one of these events. It is a wonderful setting for these concerts and they bring the community together.”
