PEOPLE are being asked to release balloons in memory of Niamh Curry after her funeral on Wednesday (May 30).
Niamh’s family and friends will release 250 biodegradable balloons at 5pm in memory of the five-year-old from Wellingborough.
The brave youngster died last Sunday after an 18-month battle with cancer.
Niamh’s parents, Chris and Sam Curry, tweeted: “Wednesday May 30 at 5pm after Niamh’s cremation we are releasing 250 balloons. Wherever you are in the world please release one for Niamh.”
Her cremation and life celebration will take place at 1.30pm at Kettering Crematorium.
Due to limited space in the chapel, Mr and Mrs Curry have requested that only family and invited friends enter the chapel for the service.
There will be standing room outside the chapel, with speakers and screens relaying the service.
Mourners are asked to wear a splash of pink, purple or blue as they were Niamh’s favourite colours.
