Mayor of Kettering Scott Edwards was in attendance on Saturday (February 11) as a bag pack raised money for a local charity.

Tesco Extra in Carina Road held the bag pack for the fundraising arm of Home-Start Kettering.

The event, which was supported by Cllr Edwards as well as Labour councillors Mick Scrimshaw and Maggie Don, raised £753.86.

A Home-Start Kettering spokesman said: “Home-Start is especially grateful to the mayor of Kettering, Scott Edwards, and to councillors Maggie Don and Mick Scrimshaw who gave up their precious time to help us.

“We would also like to thank the team at Tesco, all the Home-Start volunteers and helpers, but most importantly the good people of Kettering who made the day such a success.”

Home-Start provides valuable support for families and helps parents build better lives for children in the Kettering area.
