British Heart Foundation (BHF) shops across the county want people to help out with their new stock donation campaign - the Great British Bag-athon.
It is hoped BHF shops in Northamptonshire can generate 1,000 bags each during September and they will need all the help they can get from big-hearted residents to reach their target.
Each bag is worth an average of £20, helping the BHF continue its life-saving work in the area.
Getting involved in the Great British Bag-athon couldn’t be easier – just one bag can make a difference or you can take on a challenge and set your own bag target.
Anything from five, 10, 20 or more bags will make a huge difference to the charity.
Gareth Julian, area manager for the county BHF shops, said: “I’d like to encourage all Northamptonshire people to get involved and join in the Great British Bag-athon.
“BHF shops sell 90,000 items daily so donations from the local community are vital.
“We’re always keen to receive Northamptonshire’s lovely clothing, accessories, handbags, shoes, books, CDs and DVDs so get filling those bags now.
“Every bag you fill makes a real difference and is worth on average £20 to the BHF.”
