An open air theatre company is bringing its latest production to Burton Latimer later this month.

Illyria will be putting on a performance of Babe the Sheep-Pig, based on the well-loved Dick King-Smith novel, at Burton Latimer Hall on Saturday, July 27.

Profits will go to St Mary’s Church, which in recent years has had lead stolen from its roof.

Organisers say the event will only be cancelled in the event of a hurricane, though last year’s performance suffered due to poor weather.

People are asked to take a low chair or rug and hats rather than umbrellas so as not to restrict others’ view.

Doors open at 5pm with the show starting at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £13 for adults, £6 for children or £32 for two adults and two children. Call 01536 725096 for more information.
