Kettering’s new B&M store has said it is working with the Papworth Trust to help long-term unemployed people back into work. Last month 25 people joined B&M’s payroll, and the company has now asked the trust to start recruiting to fill an additional 20 permanent full-time roles.

Papworth Trust’s employment service supports long-term unemployed adults in getting back into sustainable work.

Tom Walker, one of the new recruits, said: “I had been job hunting for two years before this opportunity came up.”
