The start of autumn has been celebrated at Stanwick Lakes this weekend with a weekend of food, crafts and nature walks.
Visitors have been able to take part in a range of activities at the popular East Northamptonshire attraction, including a seed gathering walk and bread making.
Information about the Stanwick Lakes Hive of Activity project was also on show.
The bee-keeping project, which launched earlier this year, has seen volunteers look after 10 hives at Stanwick Lakes
Bee keeper Wendy Potts, supports the project by lending her expertise to the volunteers.
She said: “We have 10 volunteers who look after a hive each. They have been taught the process of how to get the honey from the bee to the jar. The honey is sold at Stanwick Lakes and it has been very popular.
“The project is going really well and everyone is enjoying it.
“Part of this weekend is about making people aware that the hives are here and about the project.”
