One of Great Britain’s best sprinters visited a school to give students an insight into what it takes to reach the top level in sport.

Commonwealth 200m champion Leon Baptiste was guest of honour at Corby Business Academy on Friday, when he held a question and answer session, took part in a sports lesson and gave a talk to the Year 10 assembly.

Year 10 student Paulo Silva said: “It was great to meet him and we were able to ask him questions on all aspects of his life.

“He has had a number of setbacks with injury but he told us how he never gave up and always came back to try again.”

Last year the 26-year-old sprinter was the second fastest 200m sprinter in GB, and he has been visiting a number of schools in recent months.
