Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh Butler and her dancing dog Pudsey are set to perform on Ant and Dec’s ITV game show Red or Black?

In an exclusive interview with the Telegraph, the schoolgirl star from Wellingborough revealed that the pair will dance on the prime time show this autumn.

Wrenn School pupil Ashleigh, 17, said: “It’s totally different from eveything we’ve done. We have made a new routine for it.”

The teenager treated pupils at her former school, Redwell Junior School, Wellingborough, to a sneak preview of the routine when she opened its summer fete on Saturday.

Ashleigh and her six-year-old cross of border collie, bichon frise and Chinese crested powder puff Pudsey, who attended a premiere of The Amazing Spiderman in London on Monday, performed spell-binding tricks perfectly timed to the instrumental track Soul Bossa Nova, which famously features in the Austin Powers films.

Pudsey not only walked on hind legs for more than 10 seconds at a time but walked backwards and span around.

He jumped through a hoop Ashleigh formed from her arms, jumped up to her chest and rolled her along the school playing field with her back legs.

Ashleigh seemed just as happy performing for 100 pupils as millions of viewers in the the ITV talent show final.

The month since Ashleigh scooped £500,000 as winner has been a whirlwind of media attention. The teenager, who stood for more than an hour in the rain and wind signing autographs on Saturday, said: “It’s been really, really busy. We are having a good time.”

The next month looks even busier with Ashleigh and Pudsey filming for some ITV dog shows. She will then perform for the Queen in the Royal Variety Performance in November.

Ashleigh said: “We’ve got to come up with something new.”
