Two drugs warrants were executed in Sackville Street in the town yesterday, resulting in two arrests for drugs supply offences.
Substances were recovered and an investigation and forensic examination is now ongoing.
Arrest attempts of wanted offenders, disruption visits and curfew checks were conducted throughout the day and evening, and a 27-year-old man from Kettering was arrested for failing to attend court having been charged with burglary.
A 25-year-old man was also arrested and charged with driving under the influence in Rothwell.
Detective Inspector Ali Reynolds said: “The pre-planned activity encompassed several of our priorities including Operation Guardian, Operation Challenge, anti-social behaviour and the Fatal Four with officers and staff from CID, Safer Community Teams, forensics and special operations working together.
“In addition to warrants, arrest attempts and curfew checks officers and PSCOs were out and about in the town centre and hotspot locations offering reassurance and giving advice.
“I’m pleased with the results of the day and we will be planning similar initiatives in towns across the county in the following months.”
