Northamptonshire Police have issued a clarification with regard to the sentencing of an armed robber.
A police spokesman said: “On Wednesday, July 3 we issued a press release stating that Adam Jenkins, 27, of Grove Place, Raunds, was sentenced at Northampton Crown Court for robbery and possession of a bladed article. Jenkins was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison on Friday, June 28.
“The original press release stated that Jenkins was convicted of two armed robberies but we would like to clarify that he was convicted of one armed robbery and one robbery.
“The armed robbery took place on October 4, 2012. The robbery took place on February 5, 2013. Both robberies were at Betfred in Rothwell.
“We would like to apologise for any misunderstanding.”
