THE family of a severely ill man are appealing for help to find his wedding ring.
The gold band slipped off the finger of Tony Thompson, 82, while he was at Asda at Phoenix Parkway in Corby on Friday, April 6, just weeks after he celebrated the Diamond Wedding anniversary he thought he would never see with his wife Marie.
Their daughter Linda Thompson-Howley, of Chapel Road, Weldon, said his weight loss due to untreatable lung cancer had probably caused the ring, which was his grandfather’s, to fall off.
She said: “He would be really grateful if somebody did find it and he could get it back.”
Anyone who finds the ring can return it by handing it in to Corby Police Station.
