Animal rescue centres showcase their work

Animal rescue centres are to showcase the vital work they do at an event in Corby this month.

It is being held at the Cloverleaf Canine Centre, Unit 5, Maylan Road, in the town, on Sunday, October 27, from 10am until 4pm.

At the event rescue centres also hope to recruit volunteers.

Olwen Turns, of the Cloverleaf Canine Centre, said; “If people have a few hours to spare and love animals they could chat with the centre representatives about helping out.

“If they are looking for a new pet they can find out how a local rescue centre can help them find their new best friend.”

The canine centre opened in March this year and provides a range of services including grooming, behaviour consultations, training and dog day care.

It also runs workshops on a variety of subjects.
