Budding sports stars can learn from the top at five-day academies founded by cricket and tennis legends Andrew Flintoff and Annabel Croft.

The Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy will take place at Oundle School from July 30 to August 3.

The Annabel Croft Tennis Academy will be held as part of the Activate Sport Gold Medal Games Programme, which also includes other sports training, at the school between August 6 and 10.

Mr Flintoff, who played in 79 tests for England, said: “Cricket has given me so much, and I want to pass on my passion of the game to as many youngsters as I can.

“It would be great to produce the next star, but it is just as important to inspire someone who has never played the game before to take up the sport and for it then to have a very positive impact on their life regardless of how good they become.”

The academies are aimed at children aged five to 12 years old.

Neither star will appear at the academies, but have trained the coaches who will teach the children.

Courses will be between 9.30am and 4.30pm, with extended opening for working parents between 8.30am and 5.30pm.
