Singer and Your Face Sounds Familiar presenter Alesha Dixon visited Corby yesterday (Monday, July 1).
She was in the town to support Avon’s new make-up collection launch.
More than 1,500 Avon employees across the company’s sites on Earlstrees Industrial Estate, Corby, and Nunn Mills Road in Northampton were given an exclusive preview of the latest collection.
Alesha signed autographs and tried her hand at packing orders on the production floor.
The lucky employees took part in a beauty amnesty, where the glamorous star encouraged them to trade old make-up for a product from the new range.
Online make-up sensation, Pixiwoo, was also on hand to offer unique make-up tips to employees.
Avon’s new make-up collection has 17 eye colours and 60 lip colours, and is due to launch officially in August.
Alesha Dixon, Avon’s beauty and empowerment ambassador, said: “Avon is such an iconic brand and it’s wonderful to have had the chance to help launch the new make-up range.
“The day was special for me because I was able to meet the people behind the brand and reward their hard work and dedication to a company which not only accentuates women’s natural beauty, but encourages them to feel empowered.”
Avon UK’s general manager Andrea Slater said: “We were thrilled to have Alesha visit; the day was spectacular with a brilliant atmosphere as everyone came together.
“Avon has been a global authority on colour for over 125 years.
“With this level of expertise we have been able to utilise state-of-the-art technology to create the best colour range ever and our 1,500 employees were delighted to have the new range unveiled by Alesha herself.”
