A drop-in session for potential volunteers with the air ambulance takes place in Corby next week.
The event is being held in the Welland Suite at the Holiday Inn hotel in Geddington Road on Wednesday, November 26.
People who are interested in promoting the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance can go along for a chat and a cup of tea between 6pm and 8pm.
The service is a charity and is entirely funded by donations.
It also relies heavily on the time given by volunteers to raise the profile of the service – and hence the funds to pay for its lifesaving missions.
The Air Ambulance Service says more volunteers are needed in the north of the county.
A spokesman said: “Ideally, once this open day is complete, we will then form a group that will continue to meet on a regular monthly basis in Corby and proactively raise the profile of the charity by attending events, doing talks, creating fundraising events and supporting our charity within the Corby and district area.”
