About 70 people took part in a bowling challenge to raise cash for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).

The bowlers took part in the fundraiser at AMF Bowling in Wellingborough in teams of five.

After two closely contested games Tina’s Team finished overall winners.

They were followed by The Royal Oak, with the BP Garage A14 West in third place.

WNAA volunteer Janet Smith said all the bowlers had enjoyed taking part in the event and the life-saving service was grateful for the bowling alley’s support.

She said: “This time of year is very quiet for us, so it was good to be able to hold this tournament.

“Everyone had a great time and we hope to repeat the event in the future.

“Thank you to AMF and all participating teams for their support of this local charity.”

The WNAA relies entirely on donations to keep its lifesaving team in the air.
