The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) was called out after a man slipped and fell while playing golf.

The 40-year-old man injured his ankle while playing golf at a course near Daventry just after 1pm on Saturday, March 9.

A spokesman for WNAA said: “The golfer had suffered a potential fracture and dislocation to his ankle.

“He was given pain relief and had the injured ankle splinted.”

The patient was then flown to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.
