Advice for parents as new term starts

As schools re-open after the summer break, parents are being advised to seek advice on common ailments among children from their local pharmacist.

NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is advising parents to seek information on colds, stomach upsets and chicken pox.

Dr Joanne Watt, a GP and member of Corby CCG, said: “If it is a more serious problem you may be advised to attend the urgent care centre, and you should only attend the hospital’s accident and emergency department in an emergency.”
