A-level students at a Wellingborough School have achieved a record average 204 A-level points each.

Successful students at Weavers Academy, Brickhill Lane, Wellingborough included Lorna Mashongamhende who will read Law at Liverpool University and Alicia Szablowska who will study English at Birmingham University.

New Principal Chris Blanch said: “I would like to congratulate all our students. We are delighted with these record results which will enable students to enter top universities. These best ever results are the outcome of excellent teaching.

“Our committed hard working students received great support from their parents and I am very pleased for them too.

“This year’s Year 12 AS results, achieved by the larger number of students, are a further improvement and indicate that next year too will be another record breaking performance.”
