Montsaye Academy students celebrated among the school’s best ever A-level results yesterday (Thursday, August 14).
Overall, students saw their average points score increase to 744 from last year’s figure of 695 and continuing on the steady increase we have achieved over the last four years.
Nearly 40 per cent of students achieved grades in the A* to B range.
Andrew McKeown was among the top performers, achieving four A* grades in maths, further maths, physics and music and will go on to study at Nottingham University.
There were also very high grades achieved by Thomas Emberson, Patrick Vowles, Gabrielle Christie, Charlotte Burgess, Isabel Keir and Poppy Balmer.
Jason Cumming, principal, said “It has been a joy to share their success with students.
“These results are a testament to their hard work and the support they have received from parents and academy staff.
“I wish them all the very best of good luck in their future lives and look forward to hearing more about their successes as the years progress.”
