Young people were given education and training advice at a jobs fair held in Wellingborough.

The event, at the Tithe Barn, Burystead Place, was organised by Connexions.

Sam Curram and Dalton Mounter-Reynolds are pictured learning about apprenticeships with Julie Stevenson and David Garfield of Northampton’s Church’s shoes.

A Connexions spokesman said: “The Wellingborough Apprenticeship and Jobs Fair went extremely well, with 76 young people visiting the careers stands, speed interviews, apprenticeship talk, Connexions Stand and workshops. Students from Wrenn School attended in high numbers.”

A similar event will take place on Wednesday, April 4, at The Corby Cube between 2pm and 5pm. For details call 0800 7313 219 – option 1.
