Desborough Town Football Club has celebrated the launch of its new clubhouse more than three years after the previous one burnt down.
The new clubhouse was officially opened by the chairman of Northamptonshire Football Association, Bob Cotter, at a ceremony on Friday.
The old clubhouse was destroyed in December 2008.
Many of the club’s members bought memorial bricks in memory of loved ones to fund the new building.
Secretary John Lee, who was honoured for 50 years of service to the club with a presentation from FA member Brian Walden, said: “We have been three years without a club premises and the finances of the football club have suffered during that time.
“We are looking forward to a new era.”
