NEW parents and parents-to-be had the chance to pick up useful advice at a one-stop shop open evening.

The event last week was Kettering General Hospital’s 24th Pregnancy and Baby Roadshow.

It was led by the hospital trust’s midwives from Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough and East Northamptonshire and was supported by Sure Start midwives, health visitors, breastfeeding midwives, an aquanatal midwife, a water birth and parentcraft midwife and the midwives’ supervisors.

Show organiser Julie Clark, who is also a midwife, said: “Every year the pregnancy and baby road show seems to go from strength to strength as more people find out about it and we had a good turnout.”

There was also a variety of stands at the show, held on the hospital grounds.
