Charitable folk are being encouraged to dust off their old wares to help a good cause.

Lakelands Hospice is holding an Easter Bazaar at the Grampian Club in Corby on Sunday, April 1, with the Antiques Roadshow’s Christopher Payne attending as guest of honour.

There will be crafts, plants, toys, teas and cakes on sale, prepared by volunteers and patients, and Mr Payne will be on hand to give advice on items.

The event is in conjunction with National De-Clutter week, a campaign to encourage people to “spring clean their lives.”

Community fundraiser Paul Marlow Entry said: “This is a great opportunity to dust off the old family heirloom that you don’t know much about.”

The event runs from 11am to 3pm and entry is free. Anyone with items to donate for sale can call 01536 747755.
