Wellingborough crematorium hits gold standard mark for third year running

A county crematorium has been awarded gold standard accreditation for the third year in a row.
Nene Valley Crematorium, which overlooks the picturesque landscape between Millers Park in Wellingborough and Great Doddington, achieved gold standard as judged by the industry’s assessors for excellence, the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management.

Hide AdThe prestigious award, which is associated with The Charter for the Bereaved Assessment process for Burial and Cremation, reflects the standard of service provided at the crematorium which opened in September 2016.
Tracy Lawrence, crematorium manager, said: “We are so proud to have maintained a gold accreditation. The team is dedicated to providing a tailor-made service during what is often a very difficult time for family and friends.
“I feel very proud be part of a dedicated team who believe in what they do to ensure their recipients’ needs are accommodated for, with the utmost care.
"The Charter supports the expansion and improvement of services and seeks to educate people about bereavement.

Hide Ad"The pandemic this year has made life very difficult for many, especially the restrictions this has led to funeral services.
"We have prided ourselves in delivering the best possible services and guidance to everyone that has attended Nene Valley within these limitations and will strive to make the very best for people of the situation we have all have been handed.
"2021 will be an exciting year ahead, as plans for our next memorial gardens are set to begin."
The crematorium chapel that seats 120 people, is owned by Wellingborough Council.
