A roar-some addition to the popular restaurant

The dinosaur family at a popular Kettering restaurant has welcomed new additions after some babies 'hatched'.

Jurassic Grill now has a baby triceratops, who will be there for the half-term break, and baby velociraptor who likes to roar and show off.

They are the first babies to be 'born' since the Market Place restaurant opened in July last year.

Customers get to meet them when they sit down for their meals.

'Dino wrangler' Curtis Ainge said: "It's definitely been rewarding to see how the kids react to them and how much they love them.

"Some are a little scared, some are curious and some are terrified but by the end they all love them."

The restaurant, believed to be the first dinosaur-themed restaurant of its kind in the UK, also has a new pterodactyl which sometimes comes out to meet diners.

They are hoping to launch a new winter menu soon and could also have a 'triceratops taco Tuesday' to celebrate the birth of the baby triceratops.

Jurassic Grill will be opening a second restaurant at Rushden Lakes, which joint owner Joe Mordawska said he hopes will open next year.

They are also looking to expand the brand across the UK after a successful first year, despite the Covid crisis.
