Corby man given unpaid work after he's caught with kitchen knife

He admitted his crimes before magistrates

A man caught with a kitchen knife in public in Corby has been sentenced to unpaid work.

Aiden Robertson, 19, was arrested after he was caught with the knife in Cottingham Road on June 1.

He was also in possession of 4g of cannabis.

Robertson, of Llewellyn Walk in Corby, later admitted possession of a blade article and possession of a class B drug before magistrates.

Earlier this month he was sentenced to a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work, which must be completed within a year.

He must also take part in rehabilitation activities and pay prosecution costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £95.

Magistrates also made orders depriving him of his rights to the kitchen knife with the cannabis forfeited and destroyed.
